The Grey Walnut Hexagon Acoustic Panel with grey felt combines walnut veneer in a contemporary grey shade with a matching grey felt backing. Like every hexagon panel from Aku Woodpanel it absorbs sound, is made from recycled materials and goes onto the wall without specialist tools.
Why the grey felt version?
The felt sits behind the slats and stays visible in the gaps, so it shapes the look of the panel as much as the veneer does. With grey walnut the grey felt gives the most tonal, understated result of the range, where the slats and the background sit close together instead of contrasting. The veneer, the dimensions and the NRC 0.75 sound absorption are identical to the standard version.

Installation
Our acoustic wall panels are easy to install yourself. On our installation page you'll find the full step-by-step guide, including the materials you need and finishing the edges with end and corner strips.
Care
Wooden wall panels stay beautiful with minimal maintenance. Wipe the panels with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth, in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use harsh cleaning or abrasive products and avoid lots of water to protect the veneer and the acoustic felt.

EASY INSTALLATION
STEP 1
MEASURE & PLAN
Measure the width and height of your wall and enter them in the calculator: it works out how many hexagons you need. Lay the pattern out on the floor first to plan the layout.
Pro tip. Centre your layout so the cut-to-size panels end up on both sides.
Make sure the wall is clean, dry and flat. You can mount directly on plasterboard, brick or wood, no battens needed.
STEP 3
INSTALL THE PANELS
Apply the mounting adhesive in a zigzag pattern on the back. Start in the middle, work outwards and keep the seams tight.
STEP 4
FINISH THE EDGES
Cut hexagons along an edge or corner to size with a fine-toothed handsaw. Finish the cut edge with a matching trim or let the honeycomb pattern end freely.
Pro tip. Order your end strips in the same finish as your panels.

Can I order samples before placing a full order?
Yes, and we recommend it: colours on a screen always differ slightly from the real veneer. Order samples of your favourite colours to see the texture and finish at home. Samples cost £2.50 each, plus £5.00 shipping.

Are the panels easy to install?
Yes. Our panels are designed for easy self-installation: fix them with screws or glue them without drilling using our High Tack mounting adhesive. On our installation page you'll find step-by-step instructions, including finishing the edges with end and corner strips.
